SC / ST / OBC CELL
SC/ST OBC cell aims to support and empower the students of the category in the college.
Its main objectives are :
- To counsel and guide SC/ST OBC students and help them to manage academic and personal issues of the college life effectively
- To ensure an environment where all such students feel safe and secure.
- To redress their grievances if any.
The coordinators of the cell participate in all meetings conducted by the affiliating University and convey instructions to the concerned office staff. The coordinators communicate with students regularly and provide information regarding State Government and UGC decisions regarding different scholarships. Under the guidance and direction of the cell, departments conduct remedial coaching classes for the students of SC/ST and OBC category out of the class hours. A regular follow up is also done in this matter by the Heads of the Department and class teachers of various departments. Apart from these mentoring sessions are also conducted for needy students of this category.
