STUDENTS AID FUND / COLLEGE STUDENTS AID FUND
Mahatma Gandhi University/College has instituted a Students Aid Fund. The objective of this fund is to render financial assistance to poor students to meet their tuition fees, examination fees or to purchase books or to meet similar other expenses like study tours etc. Application for the above financial assistance shall be submitted to the College Office.
K.P.C.R CONCESSION
Govt. have awarded educational concession to the students belonging to socially and educationally backward classes in the forward community under Kumara Pillai Commission Report.
At the time of admission, if the student produces the income certificate in the prescribed form from the village officer within the income limit as given below, he/ she will be exempted from paying tuition and special fee
- Income limit Degree : Below Rs. 25,000
- Post Graduate : Below Rs. 42,000
Immediately after admission they should obtain the prescribed application from the college office and submit the same duly filled in within the stipulated time.
Students who enjoy the KPCR concession will have to produce the income certificate and the renewal application form for the succeeding academic year.
EDUCATIONAL CONCESSION TO O.B.C STUDENTS
O.B.C students with low income are eligible for fee concession. Income limit Rs 25,000 for Degree and Rs 42,000 for P.G . Application along with Caste and Income Certificate should be submitted at the beginning of the course this concession should be renewed every year.
EDUCATIONAL CONCESSION TO O. E. C STUDENTS
Dheevara, Vala, Kudumbi and Christian converted communities are eligible. No income limit. Lump sum grant, stipends and fee concession are available. Application along with caste certificate should be submitted at the beginning of the course.
EDUCATIONAL CONCESSION TO SC/ST STUDENTS
SC/ST students should submit applications to the College Office at the beginning of the course. The scholarship includes lump sum grant, stipend and fee concession.
